Sri Rama Maha Pattabhishekam

Sri Rama maha Kratuvu and Sri Rama Maha Pattabhishekam (The Coronation ceremony) accomplished  in the premises of Badrachalam temple,constructed in 17th century by Saint Ramadasa or Kancharla Gopanna which is known as Dakshin Ayodhya.The celebrations lasted for a week long  ( 10th to 19th of the month).The specific custom is performed for every 100 years with pomp and gaiety in front of the devotees thronged here from far and wide.

The Coronation celebration is a sign of  bestowing crown upon the Lord to honor him as a king.The Sword,Sheath,Armour and other princely ornaments were there with the holy idols,all made of gold on the occasion.Pontiffs discharged vedic chantings and due traditions.The holy waters came from the rivers like Ganga,Yamuna,Penna,Tungabhadra,Sabari,Krishna and others.

Chitrakuta mandapam became the stage for this happening and after that the procession led from Raja veedhi to Tata gudi temple.It is a long lasting tradition to take out the holy idols for a stroll by which devotees along the street would have a "darshan".With the blaring of crackers,keertanas and kolatam dances the celebrations came to conclusion.Ahobilam Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami,Devanatha Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami and other pontiffs,priests along with crowds of devotees participated in the event.
