Edurukolu celebration being done yesterday
Bhadrachalam,the renowned abode of Lord Sri Rama with his consort Sitadevi all set to have its Kalyanam today.Every year which would take place on Chaitra suddha navami.Devotees are thronging here from far and wide.As the tradition coming right from the hundreds of years,this time chief minister of Telangana Sri.K.Chandrasekhara Rao came here to submit the precious pearls and new cloths to the divine couple.The long waited Kalyanam will commence from 10.30 a.m to 12.30 p.m.
Yesterday evening, a customary celebration "edurukolu" performed amidst the scores of visitors.It is being done as a note of humble receiving of the bride groom.Both parties have pleasantries with each other in praising the lofty qualities of the celestial couples.Tight security measures have been taken by the officials in view of C.M.s arrival.
Along with white pearls from Hyderabad,Coconuts from Mandapeta,Pattu vastraalu from Tirupati and Akshintalu from Korukonda came for Lord Rama's kalyanam.Thus it proved that in this country only spiritual matters will get united people irrespective of division of the states.
This time Sri Rama Navami is being done under a series of new happenings.Now the town of Bhadrachalam has been merged in Telangana state.In fact,it's a border town with Andhra pradesh,surprisingly the lands of the temple and additional temples of it like Jatayuvu and Ushna Gundala falls in Andhra.An unprecedented situation as it never happened to any other place in the process of bifurcation of the state.
