Sri Rama Maha Pattabhishekam

Sri Rama maha Kratuvu and Sri Rama Maha Pattabhishekam (The Coronation ceremony) accomplished  in the premises of Badrachalam temple,constructed in 17th century by Saint Ramadasa or Kancharla Gopanna which is known as Dakshin Ayodhya.The celebrations lasted for a week long  ( 10th to 19th of the month).The specific custom is performed for every 100 years with pomp and gaiety in front of the devotees thronged here from far and wide.

The Coronation celebration is a sign of  bestowing crown upon the Lord to honor him as a king.The Sword,Sheath,Armour and other princely ornaments were there with the holy idols,all made of gold on the occasion.Pontiffs discharged vedic chantings and due traditions.The holy waters came from the rivers like Ganga,Yamuna,Penna,Tungabhadra,Sabari,Krishna and others.

Chitrakuta mandapam became the stage for this happening and after that the procession led from Raja veedhi to Tata gudi temple.It is a long lasting tradition to take out the holy idols for a stroll by which devotees along the street would have a "darshan".With the blaring of crackers,keertanas and kolatam dances the celebrations came to conclusion.Ahobilam Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami,Devanatha Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami and other pontiffs,priests along with crowds of devotees participated in the event.

Toddy leaves marketing

Toddy leaves on the cart seeing here are to sell as a whole sale or in retail and this phenomena is usually prevalent in  the streets of Bhadrachalam quite often in the season of summer in particular.Sellers procure the leaves from the toddy trees to supply it to the needy ones who are interested to use them in making huts and small shacks for shading ,because the leaves are renowned for its coolness to face the scorching sun heat.

The cart was resting it seems,with the bulls were freed from the reins and contemplating their food ,dry grass, with gusto.Munjalu or jelly like seeds of the toddy trees(Borassus Fiebellifer) are also in great demand as a food congenial in the season.each leaf 2 to 3 meter long with distinct cleft at the base.And of course toddy liquor is not to be told specially as which has number of fans anyway.

A Paradise for Sparrows

It's literally truth we are going to talk about the beautiful and cute species of Sparrows.And its little paradise is here at the premises of a school ,they got up before the mellifluous sun rays  and start chirping and playing all over the corridors,sometimes even intrude into class rooms to make the children attentive about the nature.

In fact,like any other place the school location was also void of any sounds of  sparrows and very rarely the kind was seen around the place.The biology teacher of  yore I.Rama Krishna garu tried his best to woo them by making some small huts like nests and installing them on the heights of  class room walls,of course outside,along the corridors.

The sparrows started coming to the nests to live in a safe ambiance and truly which made the school a sanctuary for the little birds.The number is increasing leaps and bounds as time passes on.The teacher has gone on transfer but his reminiscences remained in the present form.Do you want to know the place..? In love with Butterflies

It was a unique exhibition that has taken place,yesterday, at the degree college of Bhadrachalam.School children,enthusiasts and all other butterfly lovers turned up to behold the display.All the pictures were captured by none other than G.Gopala Krishna garu,the bio-science teacher who also authored a book on this subject titled "Mana Seetakokachilukalu" (Our Butterflies).It is perhaps to become the first one of its kind concerned with Telugu language.

He told us that he had traveled extensively to have captured all these varieties  of  butterflies ,even to a few wild forests along with concerned parks located at Hyderabad and Warangal.Our country alone hosts more than 1503 kinds of Butterflies with variations of colors and feeding.Bhadrchalam division witnessed 65 kinds so far.

Here we have taken some pictures from the exhibition for the people who have special interest in this subject.The book written on butterflies is explicit with the culmination of year- long  work, also released on the occasion and several dignitaries graced the function.Go for the book if you wish to have a longing to know all about the beautiful species.

Gifted Children at their best

It was a day of joy with children and their rendering of poems from the satakams of  Vemana and other age old poets.All these poems are invaluable gems in those own right to enlighten every human being.Not only that,poems of its kind keep kindling new lights when they were being read out.The competition conducted at Ananda Nilayam.In olden days,it was called by the name of Home of orphan children.The event has taken place at the behest of Manojna cultural society and its chief organizer Mr.Tulasi Das.

Ananda nilayam is just behind the bus stand complex of Bhadrachalam.Mostly parent less children are taking accommodation  here and the state government is running this hostel.Totally seventy five children are boarded.All the children are so enthusiastic about the recitation of poems.Very humble in behavior.  Mainly 6th,7th and 8th class children are permitted for this.

One boy named by K.Nirmal Prasad memorized 25 poems at a stretch and got first prize.J.Venkata Ramana has won second prize while Bhagat Mahendra got third prize in the race.Along with these,all other children were provided by consolation prizes.There,with the reverberation of Vemana's four- lined time tested poems of subtle truths the place indeed turned in to an Ananda nilayam.  

14TH Inter state drama celebrations at Bhadrachalam

A refreshing news for entertainment lovers.Inter state drama celebrations kick started at Bhadrachalam right from 3rd of this month and scheduled to be lasted up to 7th of  february.The programs have been celebrated under the auspicious of Bhadradri kala bharati since last 13 years continuously with the help of  ITC Paper boards and the local philanthropists and others as well.

This time also drama teams came from various districts of both Telugu states.Last night the social problems based play "Ananda Nandanam" staged by Visakhapatnam artistes.Each day ,before starting the dramas,opportunity is being allotted for local enthusiasts,specifically youth and children are given preference.Picture above is depicting the inaugural ceremony of the concerned celebrations.Several dignitaries partook the meet on this occasion.  

Connoisseur of Bouquets

Making the bouquet to feast the eye and heart an art to be reckoned,indeed,here we can see a lady called Mrs.Jetti Padma garu, teaching maths in SNAM ZPSS,Narsapuram holding such a one and to make a point it's made by none but herself.The picture was taken on the day of Republic day.On every possible occasion,she likes to create a tapestry of colorful flowers and other chosen leaves in to a form of bouquet.Tender flowers and croton leaves altogether render a life rather than artificial things.Let's wish her to be excelled in this craft.

A Queer Felicitation

Mr.Mallemoggala Ramu, A barber by his profession was felicitated for his fastidious and dedicated spirit of work by Mr.Allamraju Srihari Kameswara Rao.He has honored Ramu with new dress material along with a shawl and which is being seen in the picture.Every organisation keeps giving away awards and felicitations for only high profile individuals but here Mr.Rao ,the philanthropist selected a common professional for his heartfelt felicitation.Society acts with callousness when recognizing dedication in marginalized street side professionals.

On queries, he said that each year an ostracized low profile person in some profession to be selected for his felicitation and this is fourth one in the tradition.Hoped to be complying in the way adopted by him in the years to come.Let's give him a big hand for the novel idea he has chosen to pay back the society.

Dance for record breaking

Today at Bhadrachalam a mega event of classical dance has been materialized to have recorded in Limca book of records and Telangana book of records and of course along with some other recorders.1000 kids danced for the keertanas written by various saintly poets like Ramadasa.Children attended here from different parts of both Telugu states.The event was conducted by Awardee teachers association at the location nearby Ramalayam. These days the holy town seems becoming a busy hub with the inflow  of visitors especially on weekends and holidays.Hotels and other entrepreneurs are high on the particular days.

AshTaavadhaanam

Avadhani Sri.TVS Sarma from Rajamundry displayed his skills of Avadhanam at Abhayanjaneya swamy temple at Bhadrachalam.It's an added advantage on thursday being the Bhogi.There are eight questioners on the stage to test ,that's why it's called Ashtavadhaanam.This literary and linguistic feat is a special coveted part in Telugu language.Avadhaani must have great attentive and concentration skills along with wits of his own.One has to attain command over both Telugu and Sanskrit languages with a tinge of general knowledge to face all prucchakas effectively.It's a great delight to see ashTaavadhaanam of scholarly people since which it displays one's abnormal mind power.

The program has been organised by Bhakta Ramadasu Samiti and Avadhaana ahwaana brundam of Bhadrachalam.Sarvasri Murli krishnamacharya,Lakshmi narsamma,Malyasri,Sanyasi Sarma,Tirupati,Krishna murthy and others have participated as prucchakas.Many students and other people turned up to the event as which has taken place in a breezy evening.

Kuchipudi dance recital by NRI Sisters

 Kuchipudi, the very own classical dance form of  Telugus originated through Saint Siddhendra Yogi.Yesterday at Bhadrachalam there was a scintillating performance of Kuchipudi rendered by Newjersy (Raritan) resident sisters Manasa Grandhi and Jyotsna  Grandhi.Annamacharya and Thyagaraja kritis were taken mainly for their performance, all it was staged at Chitrakuta mandapam in the premises of  temple complex.All the way they have come here to give recital as it's the abode of Lord Rama and to fulfill the wish of their grand mother as which disclosed to the press.Their family based at Chilakaluri pet of Guntur district,Andhra Pradesh.

Chief priest of the temple Jagannadhacharyulu,Vedic Scholar Sanyasi Sharma extended them with Asirvachanam and wished them to grow in their pursuits.They were said to be given almost 40 performances both in India and US.Expressed their happiness being at this place to showcase their ethreal skills in front of the Lord's presence.

State level youth festival inaugurated at Bhadrachalam

Perhaps it is first time to have staged a state level youth festival here at pilgrim town,Bhadrachalam.Today,in the premises of Govt.Jr college grounds the inaugural program of the 3 day event kick started with the attendance of several dignitaries' guidelines and their messages.Artists almost 950 are coming from 10 Telangana districts to participate in their concerned event.In addition to that,several handicraft kiosks were there for displaying their produces.Textiles,wooden toys,and other productions to be seen.

Festive ambiance was created with hobnobbing of visitors and participants altogether.In fact,the celebrations are going on in the part of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti,as it was declared the Youth day.Had there been some of Swami Vivekananda's messages over there on the wall of stage or the banners, it would have been a real tribute to the great soul and the stirring utterances of Swamiji never fail in rousing the spirit within,especially in youth.

Elocution,Mono action,folk songs,Hindustani vocal,Sitar,Tabla all these events will be in the Annapurna function hall.Karnatik vocal,Kuchipudi,Bharata natyam,Gitar events at Shubham hall.These are tomorrow's programs,time 9 AM to 8PM.

Uttara Dwaara Darshanam

Today at Bhadrachalam the year long awaited event "Uttara Dwara Darsanam" has materialized in the sacred  premises of the  temple built by historic devotee Saint Ramadasa in the 17 th century.From the  wee hours,devotees keep coming to the north  gate of the temple since the celestial couple of Lord Rama and Sita would give Darshan from the north gate of the temple.This particular celebration will always be celebrated only once in the year, especially during " Mukkoti Utsavaalu " ,lasted 11 th to 21 st in the month.It is believed that there would not be another birth for one who witnessed this north gate arrival of the Lord Rama with his Consort. 

Turram Sukhi Priya

Another Golden feather in the cap of Bhadrachalam division in the form of Turram Sukhipriya ,a tribal descendant from the village of Kamalapuram,Dummugudem mandalam.The girl who is studying ninth class in the Asram school of Bhadrachalam had scaled 17000 feet Mount Reanauk of The Himalayas.A dynamic achievement from a remote place that occurred in the month of November 21.Her parents are down to earth and keep living themselves on tenant cultivation.Today,at the place of Bhadrachalam the students of Asram school came unto the roads to welcome the jubilant Sukhipriya.

Gurukulam Secretary Shri Praveen Kumar is the back bone of all these great achievements and his efforts should be laudable .Tribal boys  and girls in the region  are tough in nature and they worth showing stunning results in many spheres like Boxing too, apart from other traditional sports.All they need sincere encouragement from the top brass.A Mike Tyson or Mary kome can be expected if they had trained properly.

Mukkoti Celebrations Started At Bhadrachalam

The holy town of Bhadrachalam is brimming with festive look as the mukkoti celebrations have been started from yesterday.Every year these celebrations will take place in the month of December.Now Adhyayana utsavaalu lasts up to 31 st of this month.Each day swami appears in different incarnation.yesterday appeared in Matsyavataaram (The incarnation of The fish) and today in Kurmaavataaram.Cultural programmes will be celebrated each day during the season.On 20th, teppotsavam is determined to celebrate,the divine couple would take rounds in the river Godavari.Concerned boat was also arrived for this and things keep going on for the do.People come in large number every year.

Cartoon Exhibition unveiled

CCE is the buzzword now among the fraternity of the teaching world,especially it sends terror through the spine concerning with its irrational ways in the process of  evolution of pupil's performance regarding the tests.Almost every aspect of its dark side has been presented in the form of cartoons by V.Vijay Kumar garu.Exhibition of all these pieces attracted every teacher when which has taken place in the premises of  SNAM ZPSS,Narsapuram today.With brandishing apocalyptic nature one side,expecting unusual educational standards from the both teaching and learning sides revealing  the unscientific outlook of our policy makers .The same truth resounded so smoothly in the cartoons drawn by Vijay Kumar garu.Most of the time is spared to exhaust in the name of gradings and in result,there is hardly any time to concentrate on teaching in the class room.Literally it is a mind game getting a class room in to a dungeon shack.

The subtle sense in the pictures no way failed evoking a new spirit along with some heartfelt smiles.That's what the real purpose of the show here arranged by G.Gopala Krishna garu.All the teachers of the school and other ones who came here to participate in the educational meeting enjoyed it a lot.Here a photograph is also for you on the occasion of the do.

Loads of troubles

Day before yesterday,it was a busy day for traffic personnel of our town.Some hundreds of statues of Ganesh Maharaj came here to get immersed in the river of Godavari.Because of the sanctity attributed to the place and the river ,many conductors of celebrations have preferred to come here.All the day,roads were engaged with full rush with the beelines of vehicles.Many vehicles came with the statues all the way from Nalgonda,Hyderabad,Karimnagar and other surrounding districts.Enthusiasts are seen all over the streets with having bhajans and popular songs.

To get immersed the statues,officers arranged adequate machinery to lift larger clay statues in to the river.Godavari seemed anew with floating statues.These are mostly made of clay,so there is no big environmental hazard in any way.With autos,lorries and other vehicles the day was colorful as it usually arrives once in a year.The picture was taken by my mobile instantly in view of presenting it for our fellow bloggers.

Long live Telugu language

Yesterday was abuzz with the celebrations of Gidugu Jayanti.Both Telugu states observed a day for stalwart of the yore in his hoary memory. Gidugu Rama murthy, a name unforgettable for every Telugu admiring heart for his service towards evolving Telugu in to common man friendly.Because of his relentless efforts the present form of language accessible to all segments of readers.Bhadrachalam,the temple town gave its rich tributes to the great soul.Telangana Sahiti celebrated Gidugu's Jayanti as which was announced as Telugu bhaashaa dinotsavam.Veedhula Rambabu,Malyasri,Swarupa,Tirupatayya,Durgachari,Desiraju Krishna murthy,KSR Das,Srinivasa Rao and others have participated in the program. 

Tuesday Our World

After prayer this morning Sri.Prabhu Singh garu ,Physical science teacher of SNAM ZPSS,Narsapuram was felicitated by Sri.Yadu simha Raju garu,Head master of the school.It has taken place as a token of recognition of getting an appreciation certificate from the project officer,ITDA,Bhadrachalam,on the occasion of 69th anniversary celebrations of Independence day.On this happening we would like to present his profile in brief.

Sri Prabhu Singh garu has been working as a School Assistant of Physical Science in this school since 2009.He has done post graduation in Physics apart from B.Ed.Right from  his inception  here, 100% result has become a tradition in his subject as far as s.s.c. is concerned.He rendered his services as a state level resource person regarding Physical science.Many times enacted as district level resource person too.Jana vignana vedika ,the premier science propagating organisation utilized his services as its district level secretary.

He traveled widely to provide laboratory manuals to almost all physical science teachers in the divisions of Kothagudem and Bhadrachalam.Aso attended science workshops at Kodaikanal,NIT Warangal and Secunderabad.Let us wish him many more laurels ahead in the future.

Bhadrachalam is getting ready for Pushkarams

The holy abode of Lord Rama,Bhadrachalam,is getting ready for forth coming mega devotional event of Pushkarams or pushkaraalu,which occurs only once for every 12 years.Twelve holy rivers that are flowing over 12 pilgrim places have this unique fete one after one to facilitate devotees to round all the holy places in our country.Having a dip in the time of Pushkaraalu fetches blessings ,especially in the rivers flown by the age old temples,people believed it.July 14 to 25 would witness crowds of devotees at the place of Bhadrachalam.This time Almost one crore people are expected to have holy bathings here.Arrangements are being under progress.Bathing ghats,traffic planning,sanitation and all other things are getting supervised by senior officials.

Interestingly,this time Naga sadhus are coming here all the way from Himalayan region.Devotees are also expecting from different states of India.Though there are other ghats at varied places of Godavari floating ,Bhadrachalam is mostly thronged by the visitors since which is being a pilgrim place of many people's choice to visit.The town has a unique state as it is sprawled in to Andhra region,although which is primarily in the state of Telangana.So one can witness here the best blend of the two regions.Of course,Chattis garh and Odisha boarders too very close to Bhadrachalam.
