Wisdom Supersedes everything : Yandamoori Veerendranath

Each child should be educated not by hard work ,yet which should be perpetrated by sheer love and amicability towards it, reiterated by noted Telugu novelist and self development mentor Yandamoori Veerendranath.He delivered the key note address over the enthusiastic parents thronged at Annapurna hall,Bhadrachalam.The meet was conducted by Iris florets,the school footing here at Bhadrachalam with his inaugural  speech.

Though it was a spell of dazzling rain out yesterday,the parents and children thronged there to listen the words of legendary writer.The session was gone off with anecdotes and other thought provoking incidents to invoke the spirit of attention towards good parenting and meaningful education.Wisdom is most important than education,with which a layman too excel in his life.Parents were advised to have constant rapport with the kids however busy they are in daily routine.Because wisdom passes through the life-lessons of the parents but not from the school books, the writer said.Also he recalled his connection with the holy town as his mother was born here.

The school management thanked the attendees.several people got involved being photographed with Yandamoori after the meet was concluded by the vote of thanks. 

Kuchipudi Recital

There were almost sixty kids who danced for the keertanas of Saint Annamyya yesterday,at Bhadrachalam.The program has been conducted by Abhinaya Kuchipudi academy.Audience thronged there to see the event.With the parents of the kids and other onlookers,the evening turned a jubilant filled one.Annamayya's several keertanas like 'Bhavamu lone bhagyam nandave' (All riches are in you,o soul...) and other famous numbers were played under the guidance of Kondala Rao.

River Godavari is just like my mother,I will never make a movie without it and it's inseparable in terms with my life,said Telugu film director Vamsi at the pilgrim town Bhadrachalam.Yesterday,he visited historical Ramalayam and other temples and received blessings.Searching appropriate locations around the area for his forth coming flick as he revealed it to the press.Vamsi is another name for 'natural take' on the silver screen.All his characters act as they were in flesh and blood,that too with down to earth sequences.

His Pasalapudi Kadhalu,a story collection,along with other novels brought him a special niche in Tollywood.Right from Manchupallaki to recent Gopi Gopika Godavari film, Vamsi showcased his own aesthetic talents and got laurels from all quarters.  

National Level Dance Competitions

Awardee teachers association (ATA-TS) is going to conduct a unique cultural activity at the pilgrim town of Bhadrachalam on 4-5-15,Bekkanti Srinivasa Rao,convener of the competitions,disclosed the details of forth coming event.The brochure regarding it has been released a couple of days back.Enthusiastic participants are solicited nation wide to be part of  the gala event.

This national level competitions will be held in four segments i.e.,Bharata natyam,Kuchipudi,Folk dance and Tribal dance.The entire program is intended to uphold the keertanas,written by Saint Ramadasa (Kancharla Gopanna),the 17 th century's great devotee of Lord Rama,who had constructed the historical temple at Bhadrachalam.Pokala Dammakka was considered to be the first person to had poojas and shelter for the Idols of Sacred deities.The permanent structure of the temple had been finished when Kancharla Gopanna,a niyogi brahmin, was appointed as the tahasildar of the paraganas of Husnabad.He was jailed on the charges of being used Nizam's money collected as tax.History says he was sent to the Golkonda fort jail and still it is there to be seen.

From the ramparts of the jail,he created prolific literature out of his own anguish and devotion.Kancharala Gopanna was called as Bhakta Ramadasa.Now the program is going to held strictly abiding the line of Ramadasa's keertanalu at the venue of Mithila stadium on may 4.Group dance can be of 12 members maximum.The registration process has been begun,so rush to register before hand.For full details,please call on 98483 51370,93969 82375.Apart from coveted prizes,every participant will be given a certificate.

Children's Magazine By Children

Children have turned  correspondents of a magazine, titled by Balavaani.It has been brought out by the efforts of pupil's team of class eighth,studying in Z.P.High school,Nandigamapadu,Andhra Pradesh.With the inspiration of a lesson 'Aavo Patrika Nikalo',an in-house magazine was prepared by studded with varied articles,news items and many other interesting write-ups,all were contributed by the school children.

Let's have some glimpses of this hand written magazine.A local jatara which is called by Bandi jatara has been covered in the issue with its full details.This is a special day observed by the local people of Nandigama every year.Another student has written on the summer plights of the people,the scarcity of water and scorching heat and its results etc.,An interesting phenomena is one student tried to upheld a model school located nearby his residing place.

Agricultural news also covered by them with the inputs of practical problems.Chilli crop is affecting badly because of water problem in their view.Farmers might not get due profits this time if it had rain untimely.Murumuru is the adjacent village and it was also described with the happening of Mutyalamma Jatara.There are plenty of tit-bits,jokes,cartoons,drawings and short stories along with the news coverage of their locality.This rich experience provided them adequate work atmosphere of making a meaningful magazine.

An inter state news was also smelled by the children in this work.Usually the workers come here from Chattis Garh to pluck chillis in the season of summer.They wrote about their influx and reasons for that,thus the problems of migrating workers are discussed as well.

Son of the Soil,at his best

Here I would like to express in a  few words about a common man,nay.. an average peasant lived in a remote corner of our country,Charla village,Khammam district of Telangana and his contributions towards the society.His name was Maineni Sankara Rao (1937-2013).In fact, his family migrated from Guntur area long back.Being a  son of soil,he never satisfied with his work,he interested in many subjects like physics,Chemistry,Maths,Social sciences,herbal medicine,Yoga and many other to reckon.We should know that his educational qualification was only 5th class.

He used to gather concerned subject books from many sources to read and assimilate them.Not only that,he prepared his own notes on his readings.Don't think that he was going to attend some competitive exams.It all he did sheer out of his love for knowledge and enjoying the varied subjects.In the field of farming too,Maineni kept experimenting with different crops.

What all this reading and knowing facts fetches a peasant..? nothing..the villagers opined so but he was a different man with his genius.He didn't care other things to pursue his interests.He could explain theory of relativity as easy as he spells out the intricacies of Kali das's classics.No subject spared from his gaze.

He was not a mere talker but a man of action too.At the outset of rainy season,he all come out for planting different saplings beside the roads.All the plants were of medicinal use and of being given shade to people and animals alike.After his demise,I happened to visit his house.His daughter Padmaja on my request shown me his hand written manuscripts.Awestruck....he wrote on science to spirituality ,ancient classics to Yoga sadhanas.Altogether some hundreds of pages ..so original thoughts...and he never bothered to send them to publish .

Are they destined to be remained so..hiding his intellectual sun behind the power of merciless ramports of time...? many questions began to lingering in my mind.

Yesterday,Sri Rama navami festival celebrated at Bhadrachalam as the devotees thronged here in great numbers.Nearby states Odisha,Chattisgarh apart from Tamilnadu people also attended.All the papers carried out special coverage about the great gathering for seeing the marriage celebration of Lord Rama and Sita devi.

Sri Rama Navami Celebrations Started

Bhadrachalam,the renowned abode of Lord Sri Rama with his consort Sitadevi all set to have its Kalyanam today.Every year which would take place on Chaitra suddha navami.Devotees are thronging here from far and wide.As the tradition coming right from the hundreds of years,this time chief minister of Telangana Sri.K.Chandrasekhara Rao came here to submit the precious pearls and new cloths to the divine couple.The long waited Kalyanam will commence from 10.30 a.m to 12.30 p.m.

Yesterday evening, a customary celebration "edurukolu" performed amidst  the scores of visitors.It is being done as a note of humble receiving of the bride groom.Both parties have pleasantries with each other in praising the lofty qualities of the celestial couples.Tight security measures have been taken by the officials in view of C.M.s arrival.

Along with white pearls from Hyderabad,Coconuts from Mandapeta,Pattu vastraalu from Tirupati and Akshintalu from Korukonda came for Lord Rama's kalyanam.Thus it proved that in this country only spiritual matters will  get united people irrespective of  division of the states.

This time Sri Rama Navami is being done under a series of  new happenings.Now the town of Bhadrachalam has been merged in Telangana state.In fact,it's a border town with Andhra pradesh,surprisingly the lands of the temple and additional temples of it like Jatayuvu and Ushna Gundala falls in Andhra.An unprecedented situation as it never happened to any other place in the process of bifurcation of the state.

Book reading should not be sacrificed

Books hold very important role in one's life.Book reading should not be discouraged at any cost" said librarian Mr.N.Mallikarjuna Rao when I asked him about his achievement certificate received by District collector on the occasion of  66th Republic day celebrations.He has been working here as a branch librarian since 1999.Mr.Rao hailed from Venkatapuram of Vemsur mandal.He has always been enthusiastic in the work of new building construction for library and improvement of physical structure of it with green plantation.

At present the branch library has 22,665 books and the members are around 2359.Though the library established here in 1955,the new building got materialized recently.With different dailies,weeklies and other periodicals it is drawing readers in good number.Bhadragiri congratulated him for the laurels he received.

A dance recital by Tiny tots

Yesterday,  a dance recital has taken place in the temple town of Bhadrachalam.It has been named as Natyoatsavam.All the participants were kids and displayed their skills on the stage of Talluri Panchaksharayya Stadium.The ambiance was filled with fervor of Kuchipudi classical dance under the guidance of Guru Kondala Rao.The cool breeze of the evening coupled with the performance of the tiny tots.In the meeting of its inauguration held prior to the recital,were attended by Sarvasri Tippana Siddulu,Busireddy Sankar Reddy,Pakala Durga prasad,Samavedam Sanyasi Sarma and others.They welcomed the initiative of the program and vowed to support the cause in the days to come.

అయిదు రోజులపాటు భద్రాచలం లో రాష్ట్రస్థాయి నాటకాల పోటీలు జరిగాయి.నిన్న చివరిరోజు సినీ నటులు ఎల్.బి.శ్రీరాం  విచ్చేసి నిర్వాహకుల సన్మానాన్ని స్వీకరించారు.గత 12 ఏళ్ళుగా భద్రాద్రి లో ఈ సాంస్కృతిక సంబరాలు నిర్విఘ్నంగా సాగుతున్నాయి.

వైబోయిన సత్యనారాయణ గారికి భద్రాద్రి సాహితీ సంఘాల చరిత్రలో ఒక ప్రత్యేకత ఉన్నది.

భద్రాచలంలో నిన్న "సాహితీస్రవంతి" కార్యాలయం ప్ర్రారంభించంచబడింది.సాహిత్యపరమైన కృషి సలిపే సంఘాలకి ఒక ప్రత్యేక మైన కార్యాలయం ఏర్పడడం భద్రాద్రి లో నాకు తెలిసీ ఇదే మొదటసారి.దాని కొరకు దాతలు జి.శంకర్ రావు గారు ముందుకురావడం ముదావహం.సాహితీస్రవంతి  నూతన కార్యవర్గం తీసుకున్న మంచి నిర్ణయంగా దీన్ని పరిగణించాలి.అద్యక్షులు వీధుల రాంబాబు గారు వారి బృందం సర్వదా అభినందనీయులు.

సాహితీవేత్తలు శ్రీయుతులు ప్రభాకర్,కృష్ణ,తిరుపతి రావు,క్లాసిక్ షరీఫ్,బాబురావు ఇంకా అనేకమంది దీనిలో ఫాల్గొన్నారు.సీనియర్ సాహితీవేత్త మాల్యశ్రీ మాట్లాడుతూ సాహిత్య వాతావరణాన్ని విస్తరించడంలో ఈ కార్యాలయాన్ని చక్కగా ఉపయోగించుకోవాలని ఆకాంక్షించారు.నూతన కార్యవర్గం లో భాగమైన శ్రీయుతులు దాసు (కార్యదర్శి),తాతోలు దుర్గాచారి (ఉపాధ్యక్షులు),రామరాజు(ప్రచారకార్యదర్శి) లను పలువురు అభినందించారు.చివరిగా కవితా గోష్ఠి జరిగింది.

భద్రాచలం లో సాహితీ పరమైన సంఘాల గురించి చెప్పవలసి వస్తే వైబోయిన సత్యనారాయణ గారి కృషిని తప్పక స్మరించవలసినదే.దాదాపు రెండు దశాబ్దాల క్రితమే ఎలాంటి సాహితీ కార్యకర్తలు దొరకని ఆ సమయం లో అన్ని బాధ్యతలు తనపై వేసుకొని సాహితీ గౌతమి అనే సాహితీ సంఘాన్ని స్థాపించి ఎన్నో కార్యక్రమాలు చేశారు.ఆవంత్స సోమసుందర్,యండమూరి వీరేంద్రనాద్ లాంటి భిన్న దృవాలైన సాహితీకారులను ఇక్కడకి ఆహ్వానించి చక్కని సాహితీవాతావరణాన్ని సృష్టించారు.ఆ విధంగా టెలీఫోన్ సత్యనారాయణ గారిగా అందరికి గుర్తుండిపోయారు. కన్నులవిందుగా జరిగిన తెప్పోత్సవం

నిన్న  సాయంత్రం నుండి రాత్రి ఎనిమిది గంటలవరకు తెప్పోత్సవం వైభవంగా జరిగింది.భద్రాద్రి అంతా కోలాహలం గా ఉన్నది.అధికారులు,అనధికారులు,భక్తులు,పర్యాటకులు అంతా వెరసి తెప్పోత్సవం మరో మరపు రాని ఉత్సవంగా ముగిసింది.గోదావరి లో అలా హంసవాహనం పై పెరుమాళ్ళు విహరించడం ..ఆ చల్లని ఆహ్లాదకరవాతావరణం లో మనమంతా కూర్చొని చూడడం హాయిగా ఉంటుంది.నదిలో వాహనం రౌండ్స్ వేస్తుండగానే ఇరువైపుల నున్న తీరాల నుంచి పెద్దపెట్టున బాణాసంచా కాలుస్తుంటారు.అది చూడటం ఆనందంగా ఉంటుంది.

చిన్నప్పుడు మిస్ కాకుండా వెళ్ళేవాడిని...ఈమధ్యన కొన్ని సార్లు మిస్ అయినాను.ఎంతోమంది జిల్లాలు దాటి రాష్ట్రాలు దాటి ఈ ఉత్సవానికి వస్తుంటారు.నేనేమిటి...ఒక్కోసారి వెళ్ళలేకపోతున్నాను అనిపిస్తుంది...ఈ రోజు ఉత్తర ద్వారదర్శనం కూడా ...ఉదయం గుడి దగ్గర చాలా రద్దీగా ఉంటుంది.ఈ ద్వారం గుండా వచ్చే స్వామిని ఈరోజు  చూసినట్లయితే మరుజన్మ ఉండదని అంటారు.Click here
